My friends and I are going to build a house!!! Yes, you heard me right, we’re gonna build a house for Habitat for Humanity. I cant wait for next week, al of us is gonna volunteer again to make a few houses. This is a tradition of ours since college. Ever since first year when we were made to volunteer for our university.

Actually the first reason we volunteered for this while we were in college was that we were not given the choice not to go. Ohh yeah they said we can choose not to go but it would lower our grade on our final test for the subject by almost a quarter. The next reason was to meet girls from other colleges. For one thing they get to know us as people who volunteers to make houses for people who need help. Yes I know it’s a shallow reason to volunteer but then again we were young and uhhmm… horny.

Anyway as time went by, we actually learned to like it for itself. Its very satisfying when you complete a house with your friends, especially when you know that it is a house that will help someone who is in need. After a while it became a custom for us to volunteer at least once a year.

Now it’s been 2 years since everyone graduated. A lot has happened since we first volunteered for Habitat. Some friends have gone back to their countries. Others have married, or at least have children married or not. =p but this is probably the one thing that I will do till I have children of my own. And then when they grow up im going to make them volunteer. For now though it is still our time to do this. No worries though because its always been fun.
